Customizing Your Public School Website & CMS

How administrators manage their school’s public landing page, branding themes, admissions desk, and noticeboard.

Audience:School Administrator
Before You Begin (Prerequisites)
  • School owner or administrator permissions.
  • Approved institutional motto and mission write-up.
  • Official brand colors or preference.
1

Step 1: Open School Website CMS

From the Admin navigation sidebar under Operations, select "School Website" (or visit /admin/website). You will see your live public URL (e.g. yourschool.akauntme.com) with an active SSL status indicator.

Step 2: Customize Visual Branding & Accent Color

Under the "Branding & Theme" tab, enter your institutional motto (e.g. "Excellence, Discipline and Integrity"). Choose your brand accent color using the color picker, HEX code, or select from curated presets (Royal Blue, Emerald, Crimson, Amber Gold, Classic Navy). An interactive live header preview reflects your color in real-time.

3

Step 3: Publish "About the School" Narrative

Click the "About School" tab to write your school profile, history, awards, WAEC/NECO accreditation status, and pedagogical philosophy. This narrative appears on your public landing page for prospective parents and guardians.

4

Step 4: Manage the Admissions Desk

Select "Admissions Desk" to toggle "Admissions Acceptance Status" on or off with a single click. When active, an "Admissions Open" badge appears on your live portal hero, and you can provide detailed application guidelines, cutoff requirements, and entrance exam schedules.

5

Step 5: Post Public Announcements & Notices

Click the "Public Announcements" tab and select "New Post" to publish school circulars, term resumption dates, fees deadlines, and PTA meeting notices. Published items appear on your landing page noticeboard with calendar dates.

6

Step 6: Save and Preview Live Site

Click "Save Changes". Your landing page updates immediately with a celebratory confetti confirmation. Click the "Live Site" button to open your school’s live portal in a new browser tab.

Important Operational & Security Notes
  • All changes made in the CMS instantly apply across your live school subdomain (yourschool.akauntme.com) with zero caching delay.
  • Prospective parents can review admission requirements and immediately proceed to contact the school administration.
